ELEARNING

I have developed over 50 online learning courses, known as eLearning, throughout my career as an instructional designer. Working in both the corporate and higher education sectors, I use a mix of instructional design, graphic design, responsive design, and interactivity to make my courses engaging and accessible. I have extensive practice translating complex ideas into user-friendly modules.

Instructor-Led Training (ILT)

I merged my technological background with this in-class teaching experience to develop ILT materials. These materials will help instructors and students get more value out of classroom instruction. My ILT suite includes a facilitator guide, user guide, and PowerPoint slides. This suite combines the current workflow and exercise manuals into one document that works for both trainers and learners.

Graphic Design

I custom design all aspects of my work. This includes logo design/branding, packaging design, brochures, annual reports, press and online advertising, flyer design, leaflet dispenser design, posters, stationery, PowerPoint templates. I find that visual design is a powerful way to set the tone, communicate key concepts, and engage learners. Design is not just about style, it is about finding the best way to communicate your message.

PERFORMANCE SUPPORT TOOLS

I have developed performance support tools, which provide learners with tools that make their work a lot easier. This includes job-aids and quick reference guides. Unlike training, these tools are available to support and guide learners as they do their job. These solutions enable organizations to provide the right amount of task guidance, support, and productivity benefits to learners precisely at the moment of need.

Web Design

I have designed and developed multiple corporate websites, personal websites, blogs, and forums. With each site I have developed, I ensure it is responsive and easily accessible across all devices. Furthermore, whether it is a big or small company, new or old in the business, each design meets the key objectives of the company.

Infographics

I have developed static, motion, and interactive information graphics (infographics). Infographics are a visual representation of information, data, or knowledge (Ross, 2009). It is one way to present or convey complex information quickly and clearly. Infographics help transform raw data and data sets that are complex into intuitive and powerful visual formats (e.g., maps, charts, graphs, tables, etc.).

Instructional Videos

I have developed eLearning videos and short demos. Videos add a dynamic element to any training, improve knowledge transfer, and help explain topics. Video has the ability to convey material through auditory and visual channels, creating a multisensory learning environment. All videos are aligned with your expected learning outcomes and are appropriate for the intended audience.

PHOTOGRAPHY

Photography has always been a passion of mine. I find that photography enhances the learning experience and user engagement. When utilizing photos in my courses, I ensure they enrich learning or inform the learner of other important directives relevant to the content or client’s desires.
